Paying tribute to Fathers at Arun Crematorium
Arun Crematorium is inviting people to visit to remember and pay tribute to their loved ones in honour of Father’s Day.
On Saturday 15 June, between 10am and 12noon, Father’s Day cards will be available for visitors who can write personal messages and then deposit them in the crematorium’s Letters to Heaven memorial post box.
Arun Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 40 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.
Westerleigh Group prides itself on providing exceptional care to the bereaved, the standards of which are inspected by the Federation of Burial and Cremation Authorities (FBCA) in England and Wales, and the Scottish Government.
Manager Adam Westwood said: “Occasions such as Father’s Day can be particularly poignant for anyone who’s been bereaved of a paternal loved one.
“Our site provides the fitting and welcoming environment for anyone who is looking for a quiet place for reflection and contemplation.
“Our memorial post box was installed several months ago to give people a feeling of connection with someone they can no longer be with and is a particular source of comfort to the bereaved on occasions such as Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, birthdays and anniversaries.
“Regardless of whether they’re newly bereaved, lost their loved one a while ago, or where their funeral took place, our Father’s Day invitation is open to anyone who is looking for a place of comfort at this special time of year.”
